Overview
Developed by experienced inspectors, Effective Classroom Observation is a five day programme which includes three tutor led days with one or two days of distance learning with peer mentors which includes an assessed lesson observation. Effective Classroom Observation will provide you with the confidence and skills to observe lessons, analyse pupils’ and make secure judgements. It will contribute to the development of consistent teaching and learning standards across your school and support your school self-evaluation. This training is especially popular with Local Authorities and Cluster Groups arranging in-service training on behalf of their school managers.
Outcomes
- Clearer understanding of what Ofsted inspectors look for during inspections.
- Knowledge of how evidence is collected and recorded to secure judgements.
- Increased confidence in making those judgements.
- Give productive and developmental feedback to teachers.
- More rigorous evaluation of pupils’ progress through work scrutiny, discussion and performance data.
- Strong evidence base to support self-evaluation.
- All participants receive a certificate of course accreditation from Cambridge Education and the British Accreditation Council following the final assessment.
